Program Highlight: UC Global Service Scholars

This 1-year journey of self-discovery is a unique blended model of online classes which are open to all 10 UC campuses, traditional coursework, and experiential service. Anchored in the science and practice of compassion, empathy, altruism, and service, each year culminates with 20-30 scholars being hand-selected to spend the summer applying what they learned in the field. The project began in partnership with Dean Nancy Guerra and UCI’s Blum Center for Poverty Alleviation.

Program Highlight: The Ecology Center Mobile Eco-Center

Our friends at The Ecology Center had a vision to bring their transformative, educational programming off property and into communities near and far. In 2018, Road Trip was born.

When you invest in this unique 32-foot mobile experience, you are helping to transform schools into a multi-day interactive field trip without leaving the campus. Students will engage in eco-skills workshops like seed saving, growing food and composting. At the conclusion of each field trip, students will celebrate by breaking bread with their families in a farm to table dinner setting. When Road Trip departs, students and families will be left with the tools and inspiration to further cultivate a thriving community ecosystem.
